Hi I'm in need of a Thai translation service, I'd like an entire site of mine mirror'd in Thai language
Anyone can give me advice on how this can be done? and is there any reliable automatic service? Or is this simething that should be done manually to ensure every piece of text is translated properly?
Please let me know
Thanks

I'd stay FAR away from machine translation, you'll get VERY poor results, and be laughed at rather than getting your point across..
If I remember correctly a while back ALOTI said on Foogie that he was involved with, or knew a great translation service. You might want to take a look in the opportunities section...
Of course, I could have it all backwards, in which case, forget i was ever here.. :D

I'm over there going thru the opportunites section now, only thread I found so far was:
http://www.foogie.com/showthread.php?t=8434&highlight=translation
And did I read that correctly? they said "adult translation services range from $0.30 to $0.50 per word"
They gotta be outta their minds!!!!!

Yup, yer reading it right...
Good hand translation is expensive, but if you're doing it for a pay site, it can pay off in spades to have a natural speaker do the translation.

Hey JScott...
If you haven't pulled the trigger, check these guys out. I know some happy customers with them.

Tell them RJ from TokyoSexBox passed the info on to you...
Yes, true translations are expensive. We do Japanese to English and English to Japanese. We are not priced too high. But not free either...
It is best to get it right.

See its not just a word for word translation, you have to get the meaning of the sentence across. Its not like a guy is just sat there with a dictionary.
Thats what makes doing a good job of a site translation hard and thus the cost.
