Same here, April was a very bad month, and May didn't start very well. As managing affiliate program, I see more and more cheater who use stolen credit card to make sign-up to reach the min payout

Yes jscott, I have more and more affiliates like this. I need to track every single signup!

If the pros are reporting lower earning, it is getting scary for the smaller webmasters.

yea man, everyone seems to be down for the past 6mo-1yr :( it's really difficult being an adult webmaster nowdays, especially if you're just starting, my good friend is brand new to the biz, it's just so difficult to explain to him how much work it really is to be adult webmaster (especially compared to 10 years ago)

Things have actually picked up slightly for me over the past couple of months.
The main reason being that I did a lot of nothing with some of my sites for a long time and I have now started to try to develop all the domains I have.
One thing I have noticed recently is just how many cards are being declined, and not just on sales but on rebills as well. CCBill is making me crazy with this.
In general though I feel the paysiite and affiliate model is dead, and the guys who persist will not just be the guys with traffic, but those who understand how to monetize it in a world where content is basically worthless.

May 31st was my worst overall day in ever I can remember! :( today I'm only down about 50% from my average so I'm happy with today, but 31st, was a disturbing day, like, I made about $20 profit (minus expenses) :(

This summer will be a hard period for quite a few people. I've noticed a pickup since the start of March, but historically we're about to enter the great seasonal slump, and I expect this one to be even harsher than ever before.

I do think we're in for a bit of a prolonged shakeout driven by the DMCA tube model, but I think that model itself is due for a shakeout as it isn't based on firm long term business foundations. The people I think that are most vulnerable are those in the DVD market and those licensing content.

Do you mean that I should use my traffic to promote tangible goods instead? I heard sex toys is pretty saturated...
Also, I should be the owner of said store?
Moving to mainstream would be a sensible choice? Importing shit from China and selling it cheaply from my store sounds like profitable. Of course it is more of a hassle managing an inventory, customs ect. Just like a business, less a part time job.
